The Novi Friends have met another milestone toward our goal of going “Green”. We now have added the ability to join or renew your membership online if you have a PayPal account. Note we cannot take credit cards directly. A PayPal account is required to make an on-line payment. Just go to the following link and enter your information. You will receive a receipt and we will get a copy to update our information.

Friends of the Novi Library Book & Author Luncheon -Tuesday, May 12 at 11:30am
The Friends of the Novi Public Library, in conjunction with the
Friends of the Plymouth, Canton and Northville Libraries, will
hold their 29th Annual Book & Author Luncheon at Fox Hills Golf
& Banquet Center featuring, Chris Zimmerman, author of six
novels set in northern Michigan. Tickets are $25 and go on sale
on Tuesday, March 31.

Friends of the Library Scholarship
Each year the Friends award a scholarship, based on scholastic achievement and community service, to a high school senior who is planning on studying library science or a related field. The 2014 scholarship was awarded to Rachel Hansen, a graduate of Novi High School. Applications are being accepted for the 2014/2015 Friends Scholarship.
The Friends operate a used book store called The Book Nook which is just off to the right of the Main Library Entrance across from the stairs. It is open anytime the Library is open. It is staffed with a volunteer several hours most days. When a volunteer is working, they can make change for you and you can purchase items from the glass cases. Otherwise you can pay for your book purchases by dropping cash or a check into the Honor Box. The Honor Box is attached to the wall adjacent to the entrance of the Book Nook.
In 2014 sales from the Book Nook and our special events including the Vintage Book sales were almost $22,000. These funds along with the dues from our memberships are used to support a variety of programs including:
