Volunteers Needed to Sort and Shelve!

Volunteers are needed to help sort through donated books that are given to the Novi Library for the Friends’ Book Nook. Volunteers are also needed on Thursday to help put the new books on the appropriate shelves in the Book Nook. Please call Carol at 248-348-6473, if you can help us in any way.

Book Nook Book Sales

The Friends operate a used book store called The Book Nook which is just off to the right of the Main Library Entrance across from the stairs. It is open anytime the Library is open. It is staffed with a volunteer several hours most days. When a volunteer is working, they can make change for you and you can purchase items from the glass cases. Otherwise you can pay for your book purchases by dropping cash or a check into the Honor Box. The Honor Box is attached to the wall adjacent to the entrance of the Book Nook.

In 2014 sales from the Book Nook and our special events including the Vintage Book sales were almost $22,000. These funds along with the dues from our memberships are used to support a variety of programs including:

Summer Reading Program
Kaleidoscope Series
Battle of the Books
