TEEN SPACE

The Novi Public Library has partnered with the City of Novi Parks & Recreation Department, Novi Community School District, and Novi Youth Assistance to offer a Teen Space in the West Side Meeting Room of the Library on Mondays- Fridays 2-5pm (except over vacation breaks) during the school year. The Teen Space was created for students to “hang out” and socialize when traditional use of the Library is not needed, and is open to students in grades 7-12.

Free Tutoring in the Library Teen Stop

Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Services is now offering high school homework help in the Novi Library Teen Stop. For further information or other tutoring needs, contact Dean Thompson at 248-344-2200 or clubz17@comcast.net.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month!

Visit the Library between September 1st and 30th to sign-up for a Library card to obtain access to our diverse collection. We’re offering extra incentives during the month for grades K-12. Each time your Library card is used during September you have the chance to enter a raffle for a gift card. To sign-up for a Library card, visit the circulation desk at the Library!

Banned Books Challenge & Movie

Essay Coaching: Seven Secrets for Writing Standout College Essays

Author and consultant Debbie Merion will reveal how to create a college essay that stands out among the thousands received. She will share techniques that evolved from her college admissions training, teaching college English, and 30 years of professional writing as an award-winning author and essayist with over 100 publications. One participant will win a free one-on-one consultation immediately following the program. Copies of her book will be available for purchase following the program.
