Winter Reading Program

Drop in the Teen Stop beginning Monday, January 4, to pick up a reading game sheet. Participate in the activities and submit your game sheet by Thursday, March 31. Prizes given to winners who complete the reading program. Stop by the Library for more information.

Printz Predictions

Visit the Teen Stop during the month of January to enter your prediction on which young adult book will win the 2016 Printz Award.

TEEN SPACE

The Novi Public Library has partnered with the City of Novi Parks Recreation and Cultural Services Department, and Novi Youth Assistance to offer a Teen Space in the West Side Meeting Room of the Library on Mondays- Fridays 2-5pm (except over vacation breaks) during the school year. The Teen Space was created for students to “hang out” and socialize when traditional use of the library is not needed, and is open to students in grades 7-12.

Introduction to Robotics Programming

Club Z of Novi will provide a brief demonstration of robotics programming. Participants can signup for an introduction to robotics programming course offered by Club Z at the demonstration. For scheduling and details, contact Dean at (248) 344-2200.

Kidpreneur Coding Workshop

Teen Tech Week

Celebrate Teen Tech Week during the week of March 6-12. “Like” the Novi Public Library Teen Stop on Facebook and check-in. The person with the most check-ins during this week will win a prize. Test your texting skills by participating in our “Name that Acronym” quiz. Pick up the quiz at the second floor information desk. Participants that correctly answer all the questions will be entered into a raffle for prizes, including ear buds, flash drives, and candy.

Battle of the Books

Teen Writing Contest

Show off your creative writing skills during our 2016 Teen Writing Contest! Write a poem, no longer than 30 lines/400 words, or a short story, no longer than 2,500 words. Subject matter and language must not be profane or vulgar in nature. The writing must be completely original. Participants must be in grades 9-12. Contest begins March 28 and ends April 22. Prizes given to first, second, and third place winners.
