International Language Book Collection
The International Language Book Collection consists of adult fiction and some non-fiction titles in the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Gujarati, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Marathi, Persian, Russian, Spanish, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. These books may be checked out for 3 weeks. They are not available for interloan. To see a list of foreign language holdings at other libraries click click on the following link.

Rosetta Stone Software
Check out a headset and microphone from the Information Desk to use this interactive software in the Library. Choose from: Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), English (UK), English (US), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (BR), Russian, Spanish (Latin American), and Spanish (Spain) languages. Only available in the Library.
Powerspeak: On-line language learning in the library or remote with your Novi Library Card. Languages offered include French, German, Mandarin, Spanish and an ESL component for Spanish speakers. Watch for new languages.
Grolier World Newspapers: Excellent resource that contains the full text of the world's diverse newspapers.
Literacy and English as a Second Language Collections
The Literacy and ESL collections serve our patrons with an interest in Adult Basic Literacy (ABL) and English as a Second Language (ESL). We have a wide variety of workbooks, newspapers, grammar books, dictionaries and adult new reader books to be used by ESL and ABL students and tutors. We have test preparation materials for the TOEFL exam and U.S. Citizenship test. The Library offers an English Conversation Group that meets regularly. See the Events Calendar for dates and times.
