Parent to Parent Book Discussion

Participate with the Novi Community School District Superintendent, Dr. Steve Matthews, in a parent book club. Read books that challenge, inspire, and help us as we work with our children and the students in our district. Engage with each other in meaningful conversations about the challenges of raising successful children and building successful schools. At registration, a copy of the current book will be provided. Limit 1 book per family. Registration is required for each book discussion and can be done through the Library’s first floor Information Desk. Titles TBD.

Battle of the Books Coaches

Kick- Off Meeting

Team registration forms will be available on our website, novilibrary.org, beginning Monday, November 25. Registration is limited to the first 12 teams. Teams consist of students in 5th or 6th grade that live or attend school in Novi. All teams must register by this meeting or a place for their team is not guaranteed. At this meeting, titles for this year’s Battle will be announced, a set of books for each team will be distributed, and a discussion of coaches’ responsibilities will be conducted. Coaches will also have the opportunities to see a DVD of a previous year’s Battle. Bring your questions and if you’ve been a coach before, your suggestions for “newbies!”
