Ongoing Programs

Teen Space

A space for teens! If you are in grades 7-12 stop by the Teen Space at the Library on Mondays-Fridays from 2-5pm to hang out and socialize after school!
This is a partnership between the Library, City of Novi Parks & Recreation Department, Novi Community School District and Novi Youth Assistance.

Teen Volunteers

Interested in volunteering? The Teen Services Department is looking for students 14 years to 17 years old to volunteer throughout the school year.Volunteers should be friendly, outgoing, and enjoy working with people of all ages. Applications to volunteer are available online.

Tie Dye Party

We are bringing old classics back to kickoff our Summer Reading Program and it’s better than ever! Bring a pre-washed, 100% cotton T-shirt. Please remember to wear old clothes because the dye will stain.

Tween Pizza & Pages Book Club

A book club just for tweens! Welcoming students to join us for pizza and trivia about the book. All participants must have read the book prior to the program.  We will be reading books from various genres, including realistic fiction, mystery, science fiction, fantasy, and more. Teen Book Swap

Ready for a new book to read? Bring a gently used teen book to swap! Trade in the book you no longer want for one you do with other teens. We will discuss favorite teen books, have a quiet time to read, and enjoy a snack.

Books must be appropriate for teens ages 12-17. No library books, textbooks, or damaged books will be accepted. You will get a ticket for each book you bring. Each book you bring is equivalent to the number of books you take home.

Dr. Nitro’s Mad Science Show & Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Social

Longway Planetarium is bringing hands-on STEM learning to the Library! Participants will build and launch an air-powered R2K rocket. This easy to build and easy to fly rocket soars to impressive heights using just a little water and air pumped in by a bike tire pump.

BeTWEEN the Pages - Tween Book Club

Join our tween book club to discover new books and make new friends. Participants must read the selected book prior to the program, so they are prepared to play trivia based on the book’s plot, characters, and setting. Titles are released at the previous book club meeting.
