Watercolor Floral Pop-up Card

Handmade pop-up greeting cards are a special way to spread joy, especially for a holiday like Mother’s Day! The template for this card is made with the iCube Cricut Maker cutting machine. Follow a CreativeBug video tutorial to learn how to paint a bouquet of flowers and assemble a beautiful pop-up card. Watercolor paint and brush are included.

BeTWEEN the Pages: Tween Book Club Trivia

Join our tween book club to discover new books and answer trivia questions based on what you read. Trivia questions will come directly from the book's plot, characters, and setting. Note that guests must read the selected book prior to the program. April’s title is Jeremy Bender vs. the Cupcake Cadets by Eric Luper. May’s title is Once Upon an Eid: Stories of Hope and Joy by 15 Muslim Voices edited by S.K. Ali and Aisha Saeed. These titles are available through Hoopla for instant download. Visit hoopladigital.com to set up a free account with your Novi Library card and to borrow titles. Details about how to connect will be emailed two days prior to the program to registered attendees.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB) Meeting

Get involved with the Library by joining our Teen Advisory Board (TAB). Share ideas for teen programs, discuss teen books, organize community service projects, and more. Meeting attendance will count as volunteer hours if you are registered in the library’s Teen Volunteer Program (you do not need to be a registered volunteer to attend TAB). If you are passionate about teen services, the library would love to have you join TAB! Details about how to connect will be emailed two days prior to the program to registered attendees.

Crystal Ball Tea Bombs

May 17-22 

Learn how to make crystal ball tea bombs with isomalt, a sugar substitute. Once formed, filled, and dropped into hot water, the glass-like sphere slowly melts away, revealing the tea and loose leaves to steep for a satisfying and delicious hot drink. 
A note of caution: This kit requires the handling of hot substances.
