Teen Advisory Board
The Teen Advisory Board is open to all high school students. One hour monthly meetings count towards community service hours if you are part of the Teen Volunteer Program.
Summer Teen Leader Positions
Sponsored by the Friends of the Novi Public Library, two Summer Teen Leader volunteers are responsible for assisting the Novi Public Library staff with the Summer Reading Program (June through August). Summer Teen Leaders help individuals and families register for the Summer Reading Program, record books read, and redeem prizes. A $500 stipend is provided upon successful completion.
Novi High School Students
Novi High School students can learn more about volunteer opportunities through their school on Schoology. In order to join the Schoology Community Volunteer Service group, please follow the steps below. If you have any questions, please contact Rachel Schypinski, the Community Volunteer Service Coordinator at Novi High School.

- Find CVS Group and click on it

Teens interested in earning volunteer hours for participation in our virtual TAB meetings, must follow the application process below and complete the Teen Volunteer Information Packet.

Age Requirements
Teen volunteers must be between 14-17 years of age. 18+ years of age should apply to be an adult volunteer.
Application Process
To apply to become a Teen Volunteer, please visit the second floor kiosk at the Novi Public Library to obtain a Teen Volunteer Information Packet. The packet contains a background screening consent form and work permit. Both of these forms must be on file and approved before volunteering can begin.
The library accepts teen volunteers year round. We accept teens who are Novi residents and from other surrounding cities.
