Dog Days at the Library

Come drop-in anytime to read with therapy dogs in the library! A small group of 1-5 therapy dogs and their human handlers are ready to be your child’s reading partner. The main objective of this program is to provide a relaxed, non-judgmental, and “dog-friendly” atmosphere, which allows children to practice the skill of reading.

Book Bunch Book Club

Each month, we'll discuss a book and do related activities. The book title will be released one month before meeting. Guests must read the selected book prior to the program.

Chess Summer Boot Camp

6:30pm - 8pm

This program will include playing games, lectures, games analysis and other components of chess training. The class will cover topics like game strategies (opening, middle, and endgame), board visualization/chess notation, and chess tactics such as pins and double attacks. The objective of the program is to give students the opportunity to not only have fun playing chess and compete in a friendly environment, but also to learn something new to improve their game. 
 
Each student must provide his or her own chess set and clock**

Paradise Park Summer Reading Challenge Finale Party - Afternoon
